St. Valentine's Day

As you all know, we celebrate St. Valentine's Day on February 14. In the UK and USA it is a very popular day. People exchange gifts, cards (called valentines and chocolate with the loved ones). It is not only a day for couples! People also celebrate friendship.

In class we read about the history and origins of this day and we did some activities on a love song. Here you will find lots of interesting things about this day (games, texts, printables, crafts, etc.)

Here is a video of the song we listened to in class.

Have a happy Valentine's Day!

Please Mr Postman!

As you know, we are preparing our first letters for our American pen pals. Soon we'll receive their letters, too. Have a look at this video, listen to Please Mr Postman by The Carpenters and answer these questions:

1. What's the name of the person that delivers letters?
2. Where does he carry the letters?
3. What is the singer waiting for?
4. Who is the addressee of the letter?
5. Who is the addresser of the letter?

Here is a version by The Beatles. What is the main difference with the song above? Which one do you prefer?

6. Who is the addreeser now?

Ready to sing alone? Click here for a karaoke version and enjoy yourself!
